Ah, that classic Bud Dry. Zach picked up a sixer of this the same night we had King Cobra, but I just finally got off my ass to write the review. Having mixed feelings of the Budweiser line of products, see how Bud Dry stacked up in comparison, and as a beer in general.

Ken's Review

Taste: B Bud Dry kind of surprised me, for a little while. I say this because when you drink it for a little while the taste is not that bad, surprisingly. It has a somewhat smooth taste, but you can definitely tell why it is called Bud Dry, as the taste is kind of, well, dry. I had 2 of these back-to-back, and by the middle of the second one it was kind of hard to keep drinking. This was done during a drinking game my girlfriend came up with the idea to play, so I was taking it down a lot faster than I normally would. But by the end of the second can it was all I could do to keep swallowing the stuff down. I'm sure if I were drinking it more in moderation it would be okay.

Packaging: B Bud Dry's packaging is kind of poor. There isn't much to the can, as is pretty standard with all the Bud lines of beer. You get the big "Bud Dry" across the label, with Anheuser-Busch and other useless information in smaller letters. Not too much to say about the packaging, really. It only gets the rating it does because it is kind of a classic.

Value: C+ Zach paid around $5 for the sixer of this stuff. This is pretty poor, in my opinion, as the alcohol content is not great, and the taste does not make it worth this much. I understand that being Bud it is going to cost a little more, but even this much money can be put to better use in a better beer.

Drunkeness: B- Bud Dry has 5%, which is decent, but for some will take quite a few to get a good buzz going. And while the taste of this stuff is not bad, I'm sure refunding Bud Dry would be a horrible experience. If you are going to have a couple beers at a cookout or something this wouldn't be a bad choice, but to party on I think I would go elsewhere.

Overall: B+ Overall I can't complain too much about Bud Dry. I was able to take down more than one of them, so that in itself says something. While it is a decent beer, and I didn't pay a dime for it, you may want to consider another choice for your night of drinking, unless you just become a die-hard fan of Bud Dry. I will say in the overall scheme of things, I do like this better than Bud or Bud Light, but it does not top my favorite A-B product of Bud Select.
