Review of Fuller's London Porter

Last Sunday afternoon I went to a birthday party prior to the Super Bowl at a friend's house. His dad seems to track down quite a bit of different beers to try, and this was one of them that my friend and I tried out. I'm not personally a huge porter fan, but I have nothing against it. Read on to see how the Fuller's London Porter taste test came out.
Ken's Review
Taste: B+ Fuller's London Porter has a decent amount of body to it. It is smooth on the initial taste, then you get an espresso and kind of chocolaty back-end to it. The odd thing about this one is that the after taste virtually vanishes within a few seconds. It's better than a bad after taste, but your mouth having really no recollection of drinking it was a weird experience for a porter.
Packaging: B This is available in bottle, but I had it in a can. Lots to describe on this one. At the top is some sort of Pegasus-looking dog with one paw on a barrel. "Fuller's" is printed underneath, and then "London Porter" in big letters on some sort of spiraling background. In a gold banner it reads "Rich, Dark, and Complex" (Not too sure about this), then at the bottom is a guy walking holding a tray of 3 beer glasses on his head. Interesting design to say the least.
Value: ? Not too sure in this area since it was picked up by someone else and I didn't pay to try it. So I won't really venture a guess here.
Drunkeness: B+ Fuller's London Porter comes in at 5.4%. Pretty much in the "range" for content in a Porter. You can get a buzz going after a couple of them, but it won't put you away real fast.
Overall: B+ I did enjoy the London Porter, and would drink it again if offered to me. Not one I would personally track down to have unless the mood just struck me. If you are a fan of porters, then you can definitely enjoy this. I appreciate it for what it is, but that vanishing after taste kind of confuses me.
