Review of Peroni Lager

Peroni Lager is an interesting little beer that is brewed from Italy. I have been a fan for awhile of Moretti Beer, which is also from Italy. After being told the two beers were comparable, and Peroni seems more easily accessible, I figured while I had the chance at a little English Pub I was at I would try it out.
Ken's Review
Taste: A- Taste really excels with Peroni, especially if you like a good balance of hops and malt. The taste starts off just slightly bitter and dry, but after you swallow it leaves a pleasant aftertaste. This beer would definitely be a good accompaniment to Italian dishes like pasta and pizza.
Packaging: A Peroni comes in a green bottle, similar to a Beck's bottle in shade. The labels have a lot of Italian phrases promoting this beer, such as "Birra Superiore" on a white label with a few blue wavy banners. I like, as you may or may not know, when a beer's packaging gives the feel of its origin, so I'm definitely a fan of the packaging.
Value: B Depending on what situation you are drinking Peroni, this can be a judgement call on value. A sixer will run you between $8-$9. If you are drinking this to enjoy with a meal, it is definitely worth it. But I wouldn't necessarily recommend this one as a choice for parties and hardcore drinking, as it will get pretty pricey. And for the alcohol content, you can go cheaper and still get good taste elsewhere if you are watching cost.
Drunkeness: B To kind of back up what I said in the "Value" section above, this beer comes in at 5.1% alcohol content, so it isn't an ideal way to get drunk. This truly is more of a dinner beer, and not a party beer. And at 5.1% you can still get more potent beer for cheaper if you are looking for a night you won't remember in the morning.
Overall: A- After trying Peroni, I would almost have to say that I enjoyed this even more than Moretti. The taste is very crisp and clean, and does go very well with pasta, pizza, or other Italian dishes. This beer would also partner well with a lot of American foods such as steak, burgers, etc. While this beer is a tad bit obscure to find, it is definitely worth enjoying when you do.
