Review of Sierra Nevada Summerfest

I ran into this beer at a local liquor store and remembered how good their pale ale was. I also recall hearing that their beer was environmentally friendly, whatever that means. I guess the local wildlife can't choke on the bottle caps.
Note to self: Do not try to eat the bottle caps.
Taste: B The Summerfest started out with a prominent bready taste with hints of lemon. The hoppiness kicked in on the middle and it ended very smooth and malty. This is definitely a good summer beer and came off very crisp and clean to the palette.
Packaging: B+ The packaging is alright. It has a silver ribbon on it and a yellow background. All of their labels are pretty much the same with variations of colors and seals.
Value: C The beer was quite expensive. I paid $8.99 for it and I am thinking the price doesn't vary much. It is worth the money but unless you are in the mood for this style I wouldn't bother.
Drunkenness: B This is not a beer I would go get drunk on. I like it but it is one of those beers that you start getting sick of after 3 or 4 of them. The ABV is at 5% so it would take more than a few for me at-least.
Overall: B+ I enjoyed this beer. It would be great on one of those days you need a reason to drink while you mow the grass. It is very refreshing and does not have much aftertaste for the style. I would start with a six-er of Summerfest and end with a 12 pack of High Life. That's just me though maybe I am getting cheap these days.
