Man Accused of Trying to Sell Daughter for Beer, Meat

Normally, I wouldn't post stories like this but this one was just too sordid not to. Apparently, a 36-year-old California man arranged a marriage of his 14-year-old daughter to an 18-year-old man. The exchange? 100 cases of Corona, 50 cases of Modelo, 6 bottles of wine, 50 cases of soft drinks, and 50 cases of Gatorade, along with several cases of meat (meat type was not specified). He was arrested when the 18-year-old didn't make payment after the daughter had moved in with him, and her father went to the police to have them get her back. He was arrested on a felony for trying to sell his daughter, and the 18-year-old was arrested for statutory rape. It's really hard to find the words to describe this one, but saying this man was stupid is a total understatement.
