Review of Big Black Dick Coconut Rum

What night-before-the-500 get together with the eclectic choice of beer would be the same without an equally interesting choice of liqour? That is where Big Black Dick Coconut Rum comes in, bought, I'm sure, for the name. Why else would I have tried it so I could post a review? As easy as it would be to do so, there will not be any perverse comments or twists regarding the name. But read more for the review.

Taste: D I am not a big fan of coconut on its own to begin with, but Big Black Dick takes coconut in a completely heinous direction. This review is being based off one swig of this stuff straight, and it was enough to full me into a full-body state of paralysis. The taste is dominated way too much by the coconut flavor, and you don't really get too much in the way of an alcohol taste to balance it out any. Unless you are a huge fan of coconut, best to keep away from this shit.
Packaging: A Big Black Dick's label shows a cartooney-looking black pirate smiling at you and pointing to what I assume is some kind of treasure map showing the location it is made. While it is a goofy looking label on a completely black bottle, it bodes well with the name but shouldn't make you want to taste it more.
Value: ? This was also free, so I won't try to comment on value.
Drunkeness: A Big Black Dick comes in at 40% alcohol content, which is a good level to get feeling good fast. As a mixer with something to help drown the taste, you could probably start downing it pretty fast to a point where you start to lose reality. I wouldn't recommend letting the Big Black Dick smack you in the face, though. (Dammit, I said I wasn't going to make a perverse comment. Oh well)
Overall: C Whatever the cost or your desire to get drunk, there are going to be much better choices out there for you than the Big Black Dick. While I would be interested to try one of their 3 other rums, the coconut is just way too dominating, and should not be taken on its own. You can actually find drink recipes on their website, as well as some other fun items so check that out before sinking your ship on this shit.
