Southern Tier Brewing Company Imperial Choklat StoutAlright, dammit, it's been too long. Thank goodness for taking notes now instead of totally forgetting what things tasted like. This is one that Zach and Cari had stashed away, probably in their basement full of awesome alcoholic beverages. So we sat around with some friends one night at their house having some samples and this was one of them. Read on and see how an Imperial Choklat Stout goes down.

Ken's Review

Taste: A Holy fucking yum! The Imperial chocolatiness did not disappoint on this one. If you are a fan of chocolate syrup, then you will love love love this stuff. For an Imperial it was surprisingly smoother than expected. It has just the slightest chocolate bite to it, but nothing too overwhelming like some Imperials can be.

Packaging: A- The packaging's main focus is the four chocolate squares on the front label. Slightly below that is a snifter glass that has 48 degrees F on it. Not entirely sure the backstory on that one, but overall decent packaging for the type of beverage.

Value: A This one comes in the 22 ounce bottle and will run in the neighborhood of $9-$10. While that may seem a little high, for what you get in this one, including alcohol content (see next rating) this really isn't that bad of a deal.

Drunkeness: A No fucking around here. The Southern Tier Imperial Choklat Stout rocks out with 11% chocolate awesomeness! Definitely nothing to complain about in this area.

Overall: A Honestly, there really isn't a lot to complain about on this one even if I wanted to. If you are a chocolate lover and an alcohol lover, then this one is right up your street. If you have the chance to get your hands on a bottle, definitely go for it. It is a great Imperial to enjoy while relaxing or socializing. Or, maybe dumping it on ice cream tastes good too, I don't know.
